Engineering Conference on AI-Empowered Resilience Enhancement and New Quality Development in Mega River Deltas

Estuarine river deltas, characterized by their strategic geographical locations, abundant natural resources, and unique ecosystems, stand as pivotal hubs for global ecological conservation and socio-economic prosperity. However, these deltas represent highly dynamic, sensitive, and vulnerable systems shaped by the long-term interplay of fluvial, terrestrial, and marine processes. In recent years, these regions have faced intensifying pressures from climate change and anthropogenic interference, leading to an escalation of extreme flood and drought events, the degradation of wetland habitats, and a sharp decline in biodiversity.

Against this backdrop, and centered on the theme "AI-Empowered Resilience Enhancement and New Quality Development in Mega River Deltas," this conference aims to transcend the bottlenecks of traditional methodologies. It seeks to foster the deep integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Twins with critical sectors, including resource exploitation, disaster prevention and mitigation, ecological restoration, cultural preservation, and intelligent governance.
